The formation is associated with the action of water on dolomite and magnesian silicates, with a high pressure condition.
It has: white color with a greenish tint, oily, with a pearly sheen. Does not burn, does not melt, odorless, does not dissolve in water. Due to the vast number of deposits, the composition and structure differ significantly. Density 2.7 g/cm³.
Technical talc is a crushed processed mineral. Environmentally friendly, but toxic.
