Potassium chloride chemically is a salt of hydrochloric acid. Its production is based on the enrichment of sylvite and carnallite mineral ores and is carried out using two technologies. The halurgical method consists in processing ores with a saturated and hot salt solution. At the same time, due to increased solubility, potassium chloride displaces sodium chloride, after which pure off-white salt is obtained as a result of centrifugation. The flotation method is based on the different wettability of the ore constituents, due to which the separation of individual finely ground particles occurs. The color of the potassium chloride obtained by this method varies from pink to brick red. Potassium chloride is produced in two forms: fine (crystalline) and granular (pressed). In most cases, the product is treated with reagents from caking
