Where is it applied?
1. As a natural food additive, lactic acid is approved for use without any restrictions and is widely used in the food industry. Widely used in the production of soft drinks and beer. Lactic acid is indispensable as a biological additive in the manufacture of cheeses, yoghurts and mayonnaises, as well as kefir and various fermented milk drinks. Do not do without the use of lactic acid and such industries as: canning, meat processing, oil and fat, bakery and many others. Lactic acid significantly increases the shelf life of products.
2. In agriculture, lactic acid is used in the preparation of feed, which is one of the ways to increase the productivity of farm animals and the safety of newborn young.
3. In veterinary practice, lactic acid is used as an antiseptic.
4. Lactic acid is prescribed for the treatment of enteritis, gastritis, tympania, flatulence, with acute expansion of the stomach, with cattle trichomoniasis. Skin diseases - neoplasms, ulcerative lesions, growths of the keratinized part of the skin, fistula of ungulate cartilage, use a 40% acid solution.
5. Disinfection of surfaces of premises and equipment in the presence of poultry is carried out in case of Newcastle disease, infectious laryngotracheitis, smallpox, infectious bronchitis of birds, influenza, chronic respiratory mycoplasmosis, pasteurellosis and pullorosis-typhoid.
6. Lactic acid and its salts are widely used in the production of various cosmetics, because due to its strong biological action it penetrates the epidermal barrier and actively affects the physiological processes in all layers of the skin by stimulating reparative processes in response to damage. In low concentrations, it is used as a buffer substance in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals to achieve an acidic pH value. In medicine, it is used to obtain medicines.
7. Lactate is used for stain dyeing in dyeing and leather industries, in fermentation shops as a bactericidal agent, and also for the production of plasticizers.
8. The next, especially important in the future area of application of lactic acid is the production of biodegradable polylactic acid PLA by continuous polymerization.
9. Polylactic acid can be used to produce products such as cover films for agriculture, ground stabilization systems for horticulture and vineyards, disposable medical products for hospitals, and packaging for food and consumer goods.
