To obtain bile rosin, the method of distillation of turpentine from purified resin is used. This type of rosin contains 5-7% unsaponifiable substances, does not contain fatty acids.
The composition of rosin: resin acids (80-95%) having the general formula C ₁₉ H ₂₉ COOH, unsaponifiable substances (5-12%) that contain terpene dimmers, aldehydes and a mixture of hydrophenanthrene hydrocarbons.
Before storage, the rosin composition is filtered.
