This is a monofunctional ion-exchange resin with a gel and macroporous structure, a high-molecular polymer substance. Anion exchange resin - a copolymer of divinylbenzene and styrene, capable of entering into an anion exchange reaction in water and aqueous solutions. Contains one type of ionogenic groups - benzyltrimethylammonium.
According to the degree of dissociation, anion exchangers are divided into strongly electrolyte and weakly electrolyte, capable of exchanging their ions in a wide pH range. Strong base anion exchanger - for anions of strong and weak acids.
Weakly electrolyte ion exchangers are capable of exchanging their ions within narrow pH limits. Cation exchangers - in an alkaline medium, anion exchangers - in strongly acidic and only on anions of strong acids.
